After finding out that he was a unique fully formed individual with personality, Shane Kroll, originally a rocky mountain boy, broke free from behind the Orange Curtain and sailed the world on a 4 year men-only "luxury" liner...

When that tour ended, he again broke free from the shackles of military bondage and took the road that led over the rainbow to that magical City by the bay, San Francisco. There he thrived, in life, in love, and of course, in performance!

While keeping up performances in the usual community theatre productions of Oklahoma and Sweeney Todd (his dream role) Shane also appeared somewhere in almost every TV show and movie filmed in the Bay area in the last decade (I'm really really big, you should be able to pick me out) as well as staring in several original productions including: Group Therapy, Nothing in Common, Wise Up!, Dream World and Halloween in the Castro: The Horror Opera. He  made his solo show debut performance in a self created show called "Reflections of a Demented Mind" to a sold out house for Society Cabaret at the Hotel Rex. Which already spawned one successful sequel show "The Demented Mind and the Villains Lament".

Shane relocated to Los Angeles in 2016, as everyone told him, LA is where you go to be a star. So he packed up his CD/DVD collections and drove south in the hopes of realizing his dreams of being a full time working actor, and growing up to be John Candy, the big funny guy that kept everyone laughing.

Here's the latest as of: November 2022

  • Just got a new agent!! I'm now represented by MPM Models Inc.!!!
  • Just wrapped on four months of filming two movies back to back for a major director!
  • I had one acting job in 2020. What are the odds that it goes on to win the oscar for Best Short film in 2021, absolutely amazing experience getting to be a part of the movie "Two Distant Strangers"
  • Finally going back to in person Improv classes at the Groundlings!!
  • Returned to San Francisco and the Hotel Rex to preform the sequel to my hugely successful one man show "A Demented Mind and the Villian's Lament" on Friday the 13th of October 2017 to rave reviews!
  • Ran into funny woman Fortune Feimster at the local Arby's and had an awesome little chat while waiting for our respective roast beefs. She suggested I check out "The Groundlings" for a good improv school to go to. Adding it to my list of comedy schools to check out including "The Upright Citizens Brigade" and my hero John Candy's alma mater "Second City".
  • Looking for a great acting class in Hollywood. Any suggestions appreciated!
